Ricardo Pinto.

Ricardo is one of my oldest friends. He is a person of unique humour and ready wit, exceptionally multi-talented, mischievous and a great novelist. His characters and setting have changed since he began talking about writing his novels back in 1979; in fact we gamed in one incarnation of the setting. The books are a really great read and, I hope I am not letting the cat out of the bag, but the cliffhanger in “Stonedance of the Chameleon” is the best I have ever read.

John Robertson.

John is another of my oldest friends, one of those rare people who you may not see for a few years, but when you do meet up again it’s like no time has passed. John too has a unique sense of humour and like our mutual friend Ricardo Pinto, is multi-talented and the mastermind behind the gaming companies of Fantasy Forge and Urban Mammoth and games; Kryomek, Celtos, Void, Urban War, Metropolis, as well as producing the wonderful Xyston 15mm wargaming miniatures.

Seamus (Hamish, James, Jamie or Jim) Burgess.

I’ve known Seamus since arriving on Maui six years ago. We share similar interests in Scottish and Celtic History and Culture, language and music. As well as running his site Seamus is a piper with the Isle of Maui Pipe Band he is an active promoter of live Celtic music on the island, which brings Celtic musicians from all over the planet to play here on Maui. To top it all he hosts the Celtic part of Sunday Solstice every Sunday morning on Mano Radio. It is a two-hour feast of Celtic Music, some chat and information on Celtic interests and history. I have had the pleasure of being a guest on the show and it’s been real fun.

Seamus is available to use his piping talents for many events, so do contact him.
